چکیده

The body weight of breeding broiler chickens (broiler breeders) is an important control variable used to optimize the amount, quality and fertility eggs being laid. In modern barns, population animals generally supports a female:male ratio 10:1, wherein males females each receive their own food supply. To this supply breeders are weighed using automatic electronic platform weighers weights then classified into cockerel hen categories theoretical growth curves. However, due non-uniform replacement (called spiking) cockerals classification not always correct, causing risk under/over feeding population. overcome challenge, in study we have developed system that integrates weigher with low-cost 3D Kinect camera was employed separate weigh male female under commercial conditions. A novel image processing algorithm proposed. first constructed Height Accumulating Image (HAI) depth locate region interest (ROI) where breeder jumps onto weigher, comb size calculated on RGB as gender classifying feature, finally, adaptive threshold determined by kernel density estimation recent days measurements. results showed enough measurements can be obtained for estimating overall expectation average acceptance rate 77.32%. Based these accepted measurements, accuracy, sensitivity, precision, specificity were 99.7%, 98.82%, 100% respectively.

Continuous Weighing of Bagasse by Nuclear Weigher

A nuclear continuous bagasse weigher was installed at Felixton Sugar Mill towards the end of the 1973174 crushing season and accuracy checks were performed on the weigher using an assized weighbridge as the reference standard. The average error was found to be 0,2% of full scale whilst the individual test errors were all well within 2% of full scale.

Optimizing Reproductive Output From Female Broiler Breeders

taken were body weight gain (BWG), gain to feed ratio (GF) and percent of foot ash (FA) at 4, 8, and 15 d of age. A significant linear response (P<0.05) was observed in growth performance and FA in birds receiving graded levels of PP at all ages, confirming the sensitivity of the procedure. No significant differences were found in FA percent between groups receiving TP or DP at all ages (13.5 v...

Physical traits and reproductive success in male primary broiler breeders

Genetic selection for high yield in primary broiler breeder males may result in skeletal modifications that impede sperm transfer upon mating. In addition, fluctuating asymmetry (FA) in bilateral traits has been shown to reliably indicate male reproductive potential in some avian species. The goal of this study was to determine if physical variation due to genetic selection and FA could explain...
